In a fit of boredom last week I was searching my favorite forums looking for something to pass the time when I stumbled across Spellhold Studios and Pocket Plane Group again. I found just the diversion I was looking for. Baldur’s Gate!
It has been a few years since I have run through this game and all the wonderful mods. I think it is time to once again strap on the sword and rid Faerun of all its evil!
The biggest problem to playing this game, and its mods, more often than I do are the pains that you are forced to endure to find, download, and check compatibility of all the mods against themselves. This major pain-in-the-ass has finally been solved!
Leomar, an person of obvious greatness, has taken upon himself, and countless others no doubt, to remove these barriers and make a very professional, accurate, and almost-hands-free installer for setting up your Baldur’s Gate Mega-Mod.
Check out this free utility and be as amazed as I was.
All you have to do is perform a full install on BG1 and TotSC and then install patch BGTalesUS5512, then do a full install on BG2 and BG2 ToB and then install patch BGII-ThroneofBhaal_Patch_26498_ENGLISH. Then just run The Big World Setup and enter in some info about the install and select your mods.
That’s it! Its that easy. Just sit back and relax for several hours. It takes a long time to get all of the mods downloaded, un-RARed, installed and verified. Can you believe it even checks for errors and cleans up afterwards??! Amazing!
If you are a Baldur’s Gate fan then I really suggest that you give this mega-mod a try.
I love those Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Too bad that is the only thing worth eating here.

Sub-project #83 is complete. I got the coated MDF cut and installed today to complete the finish work on the dishwasher compartment. It turned out pretty good. I even got the trim installed. Of course Michelle doesn’t like the trim I put up and she wants it redone. I guess that will be Kitchen Project (Subproject 83.1).
